To commemorate Gandhi Jayanti, 2023, an event was organized by the Bhartiya College of Education, Udhampur in collaboration with Regional Center IGNOU, Jammu. The event was organized in order to promote the initiatives in accordance with the Govt. of India through special campaign Swachhata Pakhwada, Swachhta Hi Sewa and Mission LiFE. Dr. Sandeep Gupta, Director Regional Center IGNOU, Jammu was the chief guest during the event. Besides
chief guest other dignitaries presented were: Dr. Asha Upadhyay, Assistant Regional Director, IGNOU, Dr. S.K. Magotra, principal Bhaskar Degree College Udhampur, Mr Shiv Kumar Sharma, member of managing committee and faculty members. During the event, essay writing and poster making competitions were organized among the students, in which ample of students
participated. Chief Guest also addressed the gathering regarding the cleanliness drive and the initiatives taken by the government. The event was concluded with the prize distribution ceremony by the chief guest and other dignitaries. Priya, Liza and Jyoti won Ist, 2nd and 3rd prize respectively in the essay writing competition and Sifti, Rashmi and Neena won Ist, 2nd and 3rd prize respectively in the poster making competition. A token of appreciation was also distributed among the students from Govt. Middle School, Nagrota for the participation. The judges for the competition were: Prof Bindu Salaria and Prof Rashmi Sharma. The proceedings of the event

Bhartiya College of Education organised 7-days work shop for B.Ed trainees of semester 3rd on different skills of micro teaching and different approaches of macro teaching to prepare them for teaching in real classroom situation.The workshop was inaugurated by the Principal of the college Dr.Anita Bali. In the work shop all the teaching skills and approaches were oriented and demonstrated by faculty members of the college. On the final day of the workshop trainees prepare different types of model and charts. The workshop concluded with sharing of reflections by student-teachers on their learning experiences.

Bhartiya Group of Colleges, Udhampur Celebrated 77th Independence Day 2023.
Bhartiya Group of Colleges, Udhampur celebrated Independence Day on 15th August 2023. The celebration began with flag hoisting by Mrs. Madhu Khajuria, Chairperson of Bhartiya Group of Colleges and “Rashtriya Gaan”. At the outset, the principal of the college, Dr. S.K Magotra, addressed the students and faculty members. He threw light on the significance of this day and remembered the sacrifices of our freedom fighters. M.D of the college Mr. Ashok Khajuria, also addressed the students and faculty members with his encouraging words and emphasized on the importance of contribution to be made by youth making India as global leader. Professor Bindu Salaria also briefed about the real significance behind the celebration of Independence Day. The ongoing celebration was filled with colorful and vibrant cultural performances by the students of B.A. B.Sc. B. Com, B. Ed, B.A./B. Ed and M.Ed. The first singing performance was presented by Hardyansh from Semester 3rd Bhaskar Degree College, Udhampur. The next group dance performance was presented by Kusum and group of B.A./B.Ed from Bhartiya College of Education, Udhampur. The third group dance performance was presented by Taniya and group from Bhaskar Degree College. The students of Bhartiya Group of Colleges who participated in different activities were awarded with prizes as a token of appreciation by the Principal and Management of the College. BDC NSS Unit of girls secured first position in parade, BCE B. Ed. grabbed second position and BDC Boys group, B.A./B. Ed Integrated stood 3rd in the parade. The whole event was hosted by Professor Heema Dutt. Kargil Vijay Diwas is commemorated on 26th July every year as a saga of gallantry and valor of a battle fought in the most inhospitable terrain in the world in the area of Kargil-Drass Sector of Ladakh. The day is observed in honour of the war heroes. In order to celebrate the day, CCA unit of Bhartiya College of Education, Udhampur organised an intra-college patriotic singing and dance competition on 26-07-2023 in the college premises among the students. Besides staff and students, Dr. B.L. Raina, HoD M.Ed presided over the programme. Students participated with great zeal showcasing their numerous talents. First prize in singing competition was won by –Mamta Devi of B.Ed, second by Samiti and Vishav of B.Ed and BAB.Ed and third by Sunil of BAB.Ed. The whole event was anchored by Shagun and Rupali, students of the college. The judges in the event were Prof Jyoti Bala and Prof Khayam. Event was organised by Prof Aarushi Sharma and Prof Pinaki Bakshi under the esteemed guidance of Prof. Savita Sambyal. The event was concluded with the distribution of medals to the winners and certificates to the participants.
Bhartiya College of Education Udhampur organized a Dogra heritage event in its premises on 01-07-2023 as a step to preserve and promote one of the sweetest languages spoken primarily in the territorial boundaries of the Jammu region. The inauguration of the event commenced with the floral welcome of the chief guest Mr. Joginder Singh Jasrotia Additional DC Udhampur and Mr. Happy Jasrotia, special guest, Singer and Lyricist by Mrs. Madhu Khajuria Chairperson of the Bhartiya Group of Colleges and Mr. Ashok Khajuria Managing Director of the College.
Mr. Ashok Khajuria delivered a ceremonial welcome speech, in which he informed the dignitaries and students on the importance of having respect for and pride in one’s Dogra heritage and urged everyone to work for the promotion of Dogri language and culture . Later Chief Guest Mr. Joginder Singh Jasrotia, Dogri Singer and Lyricist Happy Jasrotia along with other dignitaries released poster of the Dogri song “SHER DOGRE” Mr. Happy Jasrotia also sang the song on the occasion. While addressing the gathering Chief Guest congratulated the singer for promoting and preserving Dogra culture and said that the artist deserves praise for carrying the torch for Dogra culture by emphasizing the Dogri language. He also expressed gratitude to the College for organizing the Dogra Heritage event.
In his remarks Mr Happy Jasrotia assured the audience that as a community, we should undertake every effort to preserve and promote our rich folklore, which is the vital component of the Dogri language. A student group of the college presented a Dogri Paakh, in the event .Mementos were given to dignitaries as a token of respect. Dr. S.K.Magotra, Principal ,BDC Udhampur presented vote of thanks. The event was anchored by Ms. Diksha Nirdesh B.Ed Student of the College. The event concluded with the singing of National Anthem by all.
Bhartiya College of Education organised Blessings Party for the outgoing students of semester 4th in the college campus .The students were welcomed with a Tilak Ceremony and the party ended with the Cake cutting ceremony. The attraction of the function was the beautiful cultural presentation by the students of 2nd semester. NSS unit of the Bhartiya College of Education Udhampur organized a yoga workshop on the occasion of 9th International Yoga Day 2023, under the theme “Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” in the college premises. At the outset, Ms. Satuti Sharma, faculty of the college presented formal welcome address. The event was conducted under the supreme guidance of worthy principal of the college Dr. Anita Bali. During the event, a live yoga shivir was organized by the resource person Mr. Dushyant Magotra, an international player of fencing and also an active member of YSS organisation. He performed ample of yoga asanas and also performed meditation, which was followed by our students very well in the early morning. The international day of yoga aims to raise awareness around the world regarding myriad of benefits of practicing art of yoga. The event was concluded with the memento felicitation of the resource person by the principal of the college.

The event started with the welcome speech of Ms. Jyoti Sharma, senior faculty of the college.The inauguration of the event commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest Dr. Nutan Resutra and other dignitaries including chairperson Mrs Madhu Khajuria, Managing Director Mr. Ashok Khajuria, Prof. PL Suri, former principal BDC, Prof. Sukham Chand, former principal BCE, Dr. BL Raina, Dr. S.K. Magotra, principal BDC, Dr. Anita Bali, principal BCE, members of managing committee, senior staff and prominent alumnis of the college. The event was followed by the floral welcome of the chief guest by managing director of the college. The formal welcome speech was also presented by Dr. Anita Bali, principal of the college. In her welcome address, principal highlighted that the meet is an occasion for the college to commemorate the achievements of alumni of the college in different spheres of the society and to inspire the current students. M D of the college also presented his gratitude to the dignitaries and alumni for their continuous support to the institution and their contributions that are helpful to maintain high standards of education. A virtual tour of the college through power point presentation was presented by Ms. Pooja Adotra, faculty of the college. Addressing the gathering Prof Sukham Chand, former principal of Bhartiya College of Education shared his experiences of the college and also requested the students to participate in extra-curricular activities so as to enhance and sharpen their skill-based knowledge. Chief guest of the event also felt grateful to the college for arranging this alumni and shared his experiences with all.
Ms Savita Sambyal, convener IQAC, BCE Udhampur presented her vote of thanks. Students of the college enthralled the stage with their vibrant performances on Dogri, Punjabi, Himachali folk dance which was appreciated by all. Kanu Priya, Radhika, Sunil Singh, Ankit Sharma, Ravi Sharma alumni of the college shared their experiences and thoughts of the beautiful college days and felt nostalgic. Eco club in collaboration with NSS unit,celebrated World Environment Day under the theme "Solutions to plastic pollution".
While speaking on the occasion, Principal of the College raised awareness among the students about the Aforestation and motivated the students to plant more and more trees to conserve nature. She also laid emphasis on conservation of nature and natural resources in order to ensure transformation of legacy to future generation. A large number of students and faculty members of the college participated in the programme with great enthusiasm and zeal.
At last an awareness rally was also undertaken by the students and faculty of the college in near by village Nagrota to aware locals about different issues related to use of plastic with the help of different slogans and posters.
Bhartiya College of Education Udhampur organized an awareness program on protection of women from domestic violence Act, 2005 and dowry prohibition Act, 1961 on 27th May, 2023 in collaboration with district legal services authority (DLSA) Udhampur in the college premises. The program was commenced with the floral welcome of the chief guest Sh. Haq Nawaz Zargar, Chairman DLSA by managing Director of the college Mr. Ashok Khajuria. Besides other dignitaries, Dr. Anita Bali, principal of the college, Dr. S.K. Magotra, principal Bhaskar Degree College, members of managing committee were also present in the event. The formal welcome address was presented by Ms. Pinaki Bakshi, faculty of the college. After that Sh. Ajay Kumar, Secretary DLSA, Adv Vijay Laxmi, panel lawyer Malik Arjun Singh Salathia also presented their point of views on the above mentioned topics in which they addressed the gathering regarding the justice at door steps and how one can become aware of our legal rights. They also talked about the social menaces like dowry and domestic violence and how it should not be promoted anymore in our society. Chief Guest of the event also concluded the speech with his motivational and inspiring words. He motivated whole of the gathering present over there to spread awareness among the masses regarding legal rights and how it can protect female’s rights. Poetry recitation and skit performance were also presented by the students of the college. A token of appreciation was also presented to the students for their skit performance by the chief guest. Udhampur Police organise anti-drug awareness Campaign to generate awareness among students against drug abuse ,cyber crime and women rights.
The programme was organized on the directions of SSP, Udhampur Dr. Vinod Kumar, which was attended by ASI Swarn singh, Devika Sharma (Drug Counsellor), Azra Khan Social Worker of Women Rights Project at Special Cell Women Police Station Udhampur.
Devika Sharma sensitized the students about the ill effects of drug abuse and advised them to be part of the social awakening process. She also highlighted the importance of drug free society and ill effects of this menace on Youths and society at large.
She urged teachers to keep a close watch on the activities and behaviour of students and be conscious towards them. She advised those affected to avail the facility of drug De-Addiction and Rehabilitation Centre DPL Udhampur.
Azra Khan, Social Worker of Women Right Project at Special Cell Women Police Station Udhampur, delivered a detailed lecture on prevention, prohibition, redressal against sexual harassment of women.

This year's theme for International Women’s Day is “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality,” that highlights the role of innovative technology in promoting gender equality and meeting the health and developmental needs of women and girls. The event was graced with the presence of the chief guest Dr. Monika Sharma, principal GCW Udhampur, Chairperson Mrs. Madhu Khajuria, Dr. Anita Bali, principal BCE, Dr. S.K. Magotra, principal BDC, Dr. B.L. Raina, HoD M.Ed Dept, college faculty and students. The welcome address was delivered by Prof. Arushi Sharma. The chief guest Dr. Monika Sharma was offered a floral welcome by chairperson of the college. Further the formal welcome address was presented by principal of the college.
Dr. S. K. Magotra also presented his speech highlighting the role and importance of women in our society and also emphasized on women empowerment. He also presented his vision of changing the liabilities into national assets by incorporating people with positive attributes in our system with special reference to women. A power point presentation was also presented by Prof. Rashmi Sharma explaining the accomplishments of women in different arenas. Chief guest Dr. Monika Sharma added charisma to the event with her speech in which she accented the significance of this day by saying that the celebration is being done only because no other species acquires such plethora of qualities. History has also witnessed the efforts of women in golden words. Whether in domestic field or in various other professional fields, women achieve pinnacle everywhere.
In her address, she also brought out the role of woman in family and society. She said that women’s day is to celebrate the achievements of women in various fields and also to express our respect, appreciation and love towards the most powerful and courageous females.
The program was concluded with a felicitation ceremony by distributing certificates of Rangoli making competition organized on 04-03-2023 among the students. At the end, the vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Usha Sharma.

Three Days community Engagement camp was organised by the students of Four year BA B.Ed integrated department of Bhartiya College of Education, Udhampur. These days were filled with enthusiastic activities that foster connection and a sense of belongingness among the students. Cleanliness drive, yoga ,meditation , food without fire and community awareness program on water conservation and global warming were the activities done during the camp.
The purpose of these activities was to generate awareness among students about the essence of community meet and inculcate the spirit of fraternity and togetherness in the midst of diversity.
The programme was inaugurated by lighting of lamp by the worthy chairperson of the college, Mrs. Madhu Khajuria , Principal of the college, Dr.Anita Bali and other dignitaries of the college.
The first day of the camp was began under the guidance of BAB.Ed coordinator Mrs. Satuti Sharma followed with the cleanliness drive of the temple and bowli by the students of BAB.Ed integrated programme.
The second day was started with yoga practice session under the instructions of Physical Director Mr Pawan Kumar . Yoga session was commenced with the prayers offered by the students as well as the staff. Further Phy. Director addressed the students about the importance of yoga and meditation. In the next session students displayed their different items during ‘Cooking without fire' competition. The main aim of the competition was to enhance their hidden talents and discover new areas of interest.
On the third day, a visit to nearby village Nagrota was conducted by the students. The day started with community awareness programme on water conservation and global warming. The community camp was concluded with a valedictory ceremony started with the speech of Mr Khyam. Later on, chairperson and principal of the college distributed the prizes to the students and encouraged them to participate more enthusiastically in future .The programme was concluded with a formal vote of thanks.

Anganwadi visit was conducted by our college whose main purpose was to familiarize the students about the working of anganwadis in their localities. Anganwadi means "courtyard shelter" and these centres provide supplementary nutrition, non-formal pre-school education, nutrition to the students and health education, immunization, health check-up to the nursing mothers. Bhartiya College of Education Udhampur organized an awareness programme on the occasion National Girl Child Day on Tuesday, 24th of January 2023 in the college premises. The programme commenced with the lighting of traditional lamp by the Chief guest, Choudhary Lal Singh and other dignitaries of the college. Choudhary Lal Singh, former Minister for Forest, Environment and Ecology of J&K and currently the president of Dogra Swabhimaan Sangathan was the chief guest of the occasion. A bouquet was presented to the chief guest by the Managing Director of the college, Mr. Ashok Khajuria.
Further the programme was started with the introductory address by Dr.Anita Bali, Principal of the college, threw light on the importance of this day and the need of empowering the girl child.
A thought- provoking presentation regarding girl child day were presented by the student speakers of the college. A Skit in the form of one act play on the theme ‘National Girl Child Day’ was also performed by the students of Bhartiya college of Education Udhampur. Students also displayed their cultural event(Dogri Folk Dance) which was filled with entertainment and great amount of zeal and enthusiasm.

Bhartiya College of Education organized induction programme for its incoming B.A. B. Ed integrated students . Induction programme commenced with the registration of new students. Dr. Anita Bali Principal of the college formally welcomed the students to the Bhartiya family . She also guided the students to work hard and utilize the resources available in the college like the ICT, library ,psychology lab.etc. A power point presentation reflecting the virtual view of the college was given by Mr Khyam, a brief about the course work and rules of the college was discussed by Ms Satuti Sharma . The programme was concluded with the introduction of the students and display your talent session.
Distt. Tug of war association Udhampur organised open tug of war championship for the girls on 5-11-22 in which students of the college finished the event by clinching the runner up Trophy.....
Today in the premises of the college mobile exhibition along with quiz competition was organized as GOI, decided to mark the celebration of 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subash Chander Bose as Parakram Diwas with an objective to inspire people, especially youth to act with fortitude and infuse a spirit of patriotic favor in them .Students of the college and adjoining schools witnessed this event.on 2-11-2022

The NSS unit of Bhartiya College of Education organise awareness program in collaboration with the Youth Peace Foundation with a purpose to provide knowledge and awareness to students. The function starts with the video presentation and after that a quiz competition was organised by the team members of the foundation in which the students participated with great zeal and enthus. At the end two books related to mental health and peace presented to principal mam and in turn medals and trophy with certificates was presented by principal mam to all the members of foundation.

Bhartiya college of education organised various events as part of 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to hoist the national flag at their homes to mark the completion of 75th year of Independence on Saturday. Students from college took out a rally as part of the campaign. They went around various near by village Kotliwala laddan udhampur with carrying national flags and placards with slogans on national integration.
Farewell Party to the outgoing students of semester 4th is organized in the college campus .The students were welcomed with a Tilak Ceremony and the party ended with the Cake cutting ceremony. The attraction of the function was the beautiful cultural presentation by the students of 2nd semester. An Exhibition on teaching learning material was organised in the college campus.The teacher-trainees are given the practice of preparing different teaching aids related to the school teaching subjects offered by them. These aids are prepared by trainees. There after an exhibition is held and charts, models and other teaching aids prepared by the trainees are displayed in the exhibition. Trainees of the college visited Digital Mela which is orgnised by Dist. administration Udhampur .Several departments had installed their stalls showcasing initiatives under the Digital India campaign. The departments provided on spot e-services being offered by the respective departments including Adhar enrollment, Golden Cards, various services of Revenue Dept, issuance of land passbooks besides other services that can be availed online by public. Meditation is relaxation and rejuvenates the body and mind. With this aim in mind, a workshop was organised on the 22nd and 23rd April, 2022, for the M.Ed trainees. The yoga instructor, Mr.pawan kumar, took yoga session with great dedication. All trainees and teachers participated with full interest, enthusiasm and eagerness.
For the past 50 years, Earth Day has been celebrated by billions of people around the globe, annually every April 22, to join together in promoting awareness for the health of our environment.college also organised an awareness programme on earth day in which Prof.Pooja Gupta (Department of Sciences ) awared trainees about e-waste its effects on mother earth and how to reduce e-waste.At the end of the programe a pledge was taken by principal,staff and all students of college to save the mother earth.

A guest lecture was organized by the College on the “New Education Policy, 2020. ” Prof. Mubarak Singh ,Former dean and Head PG Department of Education, University of Jammu was the Resource person. Speaking on the topic, Prof. Mubarak Singh emphasized on the need of change and transformation of education such as to achieve the goals of sustainable development, improve learning outcomes and cognitive skills of students, minimize fragmentation in higher education and rigid separation of different disciplines. He also comprehensively explained the relevance of bringing this change and transformation in education. All the staff members of Bhartiya group of colleges along with Principal of the college Dr Anita Bali, HOD M.Ed department Dr.B.L.Raina and Principal Bhasker Degree College Dr S.K.
